A clear, accredited report an insurer, the HSE or the Care Inspectorate will accept.
Where the duty sits
The rule is straightforward: if people walk on your floors, you have to keep them safe and be able to show you have checked. It comes from the Health and Safety at Work Act and the Workplace Regulations, which apply across Scotland; in care settings, the Care Inspectorate expects slip risk to be assessed and managed. A measured value is what shows it.
